COVID-19 Policies & Client Questionnaire for all
828 Real Estate Brokers and their Clients.
Broker, at brokers discretion, may choose not to show or list homes during this time. Should broker choose to engage in Real Estate services, they must follow these current guidelines, abide by ALL CDC and NCDHHS health and safety guidelines, and have the attached questionnaire filled out by all buyer client(s)/ customer(s). At this time, Real Estate brokers are considered essential service and can show and list property while taking the following precautions:
Brokers may not hold or attend any open houses.
Brokers exhibiting any of the COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath) are to stay quarantined and not participate in any form of brokerage.
Broker and client(s) will travel to properties in separate vehicles.
Upon arrival, Broker, wearing protective gloves, will sanitize the door handles, lockbox, etc., open the home and turn on lights for each showing. Clients are encouraged not to touch anything in the home- allow broker with gloved hands to open any doors, cabinets, etc the client wishes to see.
Broker and clients will, at all times, maintain a safe distance of 6’ or more between persons.
Anyone entering a home will sanitize their hands before entering and after exiting the home. Some homeowners may require removing shoes prior to entering.
Broker will close home and re-sanitize door handles and lockboxes before leaving the property.
At this time, 828 Brokers will limit all showings to prequalified buyers.
Note: Vacant homes are the most likely to be showable. Occupied homes may be closed for showings at this time.
Virtual showings are a great alternative to in-person showings at this time. 828 Brokers are offering alternatives such as previewing homes, providing virtual tours, live video chats at the property (as internet provides) videos and additional photographs in lieu of in-person showings.
